Happy Christmas Daddy

Look at the massive hamper Daddy was given by one of his customers!

Sunday 20 December 2009

Christingle

Today we went to the Christingle Service at Holwell Church with Jasmine and her family.
The church was tiny compared to St Mary's where we go. It was really quaint.
Christingle means 'Christ Light' and is an Advent service for children.
The orange represents the world, the red ribbon the blood of Christ, the 4 sweets the fruits of the earth and the 4 seasons and the lighted candle represents Jesus as the light of the world.

Train Ride To See Santa

Today we went to Vanstone's to visit Santa. I was really Christmassy because we had lots of snow yesterday and the whole wood was gleaming and white. We couldn't have picked a better day to go!

Sunday 13 December 2009

St Mary's Nativity Play

Yet another nativity play ..... today was the turn of St Mary's Church. Daddy, Nanny Maur, Aunty Tania & Uncle Martin came to see me. They enjoyed it very much and said it made them feel very Christmassy. Uncle Martin remarked that he wished his 3 daughters were still as little as me!!

Isabella's Party

Today was Izy's 4th birthday. She had a Jo Jingles Party which was really good fun.

Thursday 10 December 2009

St Andrew's Nativity Play

Today was my school nativity play and I was an angel. I was a bit shy so it was very hard to get any photos of me because I kept hiding behind The Star (played by Beatrice).
Aunty Tania came to see me and said my singing was very good!

Writing The Christmas Cards

Another Christmas job we like to get done early is writing out the Christmas cards. This year I designed one at Nursery - do you like it?

Monday 30 November 2009

O Christmas Tree

Today we put the Christmas Tree up and decorated the house. We love doing this because it's the start of our Christmas festivities. Yipee!

The Travelling Crib

Today is the first Sunday of Advent and we had to receive the Travelling Crib in Church. We were very nervous but all went well.
This follows a Mexican custom where during Advent people dressed as Mary & Joseph travelled around there villages knocking on peoples' door to find hospitality.
We looked after Mary & Joseph for one night and then we delivered it to the next family on the list. We had to knock on their door and then we were invited in to have tea and cake. I loved it I played with the little girl whose name was Sarah and she was 6 and went to St Andrew's School too.

The Nutcracker Ballet Show

Here's my official shot ....

This weekend I performed in my ballet school show. I was a party girl in The Nutcracker. Mummy had to gel my hair back into a night tight bun which made me look so much older. I had to do 2 performances on both the Saturday and Sunday. On the Sunday evening performance Mummy, Daddy, Nanny Maur and Mim came to watch and they were so proud.

Olly's Birthday Party

Today I went to Olly's 4th birthday party at his house. Louis was there and so was his baby brother Samuel. We made party hats, played a Knicker Bocker Glory game, pass the parcel and then had a beautiful tea of make-your-own-sandwiches which was great fun.
Thanks Olly! x

Now That I Am Four

I have changed quite a bit since I started Nursery. I am sooo grown up now. I stand on my chair and reach into my wardrobe and choose my own clothes and get entirely dressed, clean my teeth, brush my hair and clean my face without Mummy even knowing. I then jump up and down and giggle when Mummy is VERY surprised that I am ready.
I can recognise all letters now and I am starting to ask what signs and titles on the TV say. When I wrote my Christmas cards out I could write the To and my name very well.
I now use a knife and fork with ease and don't even ask for a spoon (except for my cereal!!). The buggy is still catching dust in the garage as it is never used but the biggest change must be how good I am on my scooter now. I zip along very fast but, unfortunately not as fast as Louis. In fact I don't do anything as fast as Louis which has me collapsing in a heap and crying sometimes but Mummy is trying to teach me not to give us. This has created a big competitive relationship with him as I always want to be bigger, faster and older than him. When I found out we were meeting him one day I wore my 4 badge just to prove that I AM NOW FOUR!!
I have trouble pronouncing my 'Rs' so I say 'wang' instead of 'rang' and 'Wudolph' instead of 'Rudolph' etc. So I have Mummy in hysterics when I sing 'Just Awound The Wiver Bend' on my Disney Princess CD - hilarious. Another of my little mistakes today was 'Apple Fool' which is when you play a trick on someone on 'Apple Fools Day' ha ha!
I am still a tiny little thing I am 100cm tall (which just below an average height for my age of 102cm) and 15kg (which is below the average of 16.5kg) and I am still wearing age 3-4 clothes. This is quite amazing considering when I was a baby I was known as Lola Long Legs because I was so tall for my age!!

At Last I Am 4!

Today I am four at last and it is my special day. I went to Nursery and I have everyone some sweets to celebrate.

Then we had a family party and had another cake. Here's some of the presents I received:

Suds & Surprise Dora from Nanny Maur
Charlie & Lola books from Mim
Baby Alive from Mummy & Daddy
Fifi Teaset from Nanny Pat
Tinker Bell Stationery Set from Aunty Tania

Double Birthday Date

First, we went to Coby's party where we played on a trampoline and bouncy castle before heading upstairs for sausage and chips. We then played Pin the Tail on the Donkey which was good fun even though I didn't win.

Then we headed to Jasmine's Party which was held at Monkey Bizness which is a really big play area and ball pit. It was great fun then we had our party food and met A MONKEY. I was a bit scared at first but I was ok.

Standalone Farm Christmas Fair

Today we went to the Christmas Fair at Standalone Farm. I saw Father Christmas and told him what I would like for Christmas and I had to tell him my name because I was face painted as a beautiful butterfly so he didn't recognise me!!
